Default The new Resources section

After much work and planning we're adding the Resources section to this site. It will be a few weeks before it's threads will be formally available, so please don't link to them yet because the arrangement and entries will probably change. You can watch as they're assembled, but if you cross the yellow line, wear your construction hat and be prepared to sneeze from the flying dust.

The two sub-sections will be read-only, kept up to date by the forum's administrators, but in each there will be one thread where you guys can make additions, edits, deletions, comments and suggestions of any kind.

WE DEPEND ON EVERYONE TO MAKE THIS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE LISTING ONLINE!

Sorry for shouting, but that's really important. With the zillions of our members trolling the net 24 hours a day worldwide it should be easy to pull together all the online resources.

As of now, the two sub-sections will look something like this...
Development Resources
  • Books
  • Documentation
  • Video
  • Sample Code
  • Apple Developer Program Notes
  • [Please Make Additions and Edits Here]

Online Resources
  • News
  • Blogs
  • Sample Code
  • Tutorials
  • Podcasts
  • Forums
  • Wikis
  • Magazines
  • [Please Make Additions and Edits Here]

Because information is messy, the basic division is this... The first sub-section contains references to formal development resources mostly from Apple, and the second contains references to third-party and industry resources. Magazines, for example, are both printed and partially online resources, so it's placed in the second sub-section.

Mac Tyler is making some very cool updates to the look and feel of the site (within the limits of vBulletin forum software), and we'll be simplifying and consolidating some of this site's other areas now that we see how things are going after our first year.

But of course, we look forward to your feedback and suggestions! Please don't be shy!

Thanks!

Mac Tyler and Mark Hernandez
